Blasting & Painting Supervisor

Skills & Abilities:
The Shipyard Blasting and Painting Technician must have 2–5 years of experience in shipyard or offshore environments, with strong knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques (sandblasting/grit blasting) and marine coating systems, including surface preparation standards such as SA 2.5/SA 3; the candidate should be skilled in applying primers and protective coatings using spray, brush, or roller, capable of operating and maintaining blasting and painting equipment, and able to perform quality checks including dry film thickness (DFT); physical fitness is essential to work in demanding conditions such as confined spaces, heights, and exposure to dust and fumes, along with strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE usage; good teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and time management skills are required, and certification in blasting/painting with international shipyard experience (Gulf/Europe) will be an added advantage.
