Blaster

Responsible for performing abrasive blasting (sandblasting/grit blasting) to clean and prepare metal surfaces on ships and offshore structures by removing rust, scale, old paint, and contaminants as per required standards such as SA 2.5/SA 3; the candidate should have 2–5 years of experience in shipyard or offshore environments, with the ability to operate and maintain blasting equipment, handle blasting materials safely, and ensure proper surface preparation for coating application; must be physically fit to work in confined spaces, at heights, and under harsh conditions, with strong awareness of safety procedures, PPE usage, and teamwork, along with attention to detail and basic communication skills; experience in international shipyards (Gulf/Europe) and relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
