Boatswain

Skills & Abilities:
The Boatswain (Bosun) is responsible for supervising deck crew and overseeing daily deck operations on vessels or within shipyard environments, including maintenance of decks, rigging, mooring, anchoring, and cargo handling activities; candidates should have 5–10 years of relevant marine or shipyard experience with strong knowledge of seamanship practices, ropes, knots, lifting gear, and deck machinery, along with the ability to lead teams, assign tasks, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently; must be physically fit to work in demanding conditions, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of safety procedures and PPE usage; experience in international vessels or shipyards (Gulf/Europe) and relevant maritime certifications will be an added advantage.
