Shutdown Mechanical Technician – Skills & Responsibilities:
A Shutdown Mechanical Technician in Gulf refinery projects must have strong hands-on experience in maintenance and overhaul of static and rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and piping systems. Responsibilities include equipment isolation, dismantling, inspection, repair, alignment, and reassembly during shutdown or turnaround activities. Candidates should be able to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and execute tasks as per method statements while strictly following safety procedures like LOTO, permit-to-work, and confined space entry. The role demands working under tight deadlines, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and maintaining high-quality standards in hazardous refinery environments.
